He is the Creator; Not a creation. No one "made" Him.He's been around forever and will be around forever.

God was not made by anyone or anything, and He didn't "just pop up". God is an eternal, infinite, spiritual being who transcends all physical time and space. It is very hard for us to grasp this concept, as we are used to things such as creation and time and space; that is why this matter must be taken on faith. However, a recently published book talks about how science is coming up wiht evidence that actually supports the Creation/Intelligent Design theory. Check out "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel for all the details.

God was not created, He always has been for eternity. It is a concept that our minds cannot grasp. But he didn't just pop-up, he was never created, he had no beginning or starting point - he just is and always has been.

This may seem like a ridiculous idea, but whether you believe in God or not you still have to admit to the validity of this "always has been" idea at some point. Here's why...

THEISTIC Q & A
what created the universe?
- God
Well who created God?
-maybe a more powerful God
Well who created the more powerful God?
-maybe some kind of Metaphysical supernatural science
Well who created the metaphysical...?

and so on and so on, you could go on for eternity...

or...

ATHEISTIC Q & A
What created the universe?
- a spark of highly energised matter that exploded, hence The Big Bang.
What created the spark that led to the Big Bang?
- a mother universe that randomly creates baby universes like ours - by creating events like The Big Bang.
What created the Mother Universe?
- Probably some much larger energised explosion similar to the bang that created our universe.
Well what created that bang...?

blah blah blah - again you could go on literally forever.

So no matter what you believe, long as you believe that science and mathematics are real, you have to come to a point where you say, "Okay something has to have always existed without having to be created. Something exists outside of time and outside our laws of nature, something that had no beginning and always has been eternally in the past and probably will be eternally into the future.

To me it just makes the most sense that that something is an intelligent, self aware, choice making being - like us, but much more powerful. And that that being set up the universe intentionally. Why is that any harder to believe than believing in some theoretical, mother universe that exists outside of our universe and has no reason for anyone to believe that it exists at all. At least the idea of God explains where consciousness comes from, because we are in many aspects a reflection of God; intelligent, self-aware, morally obligated, feel wide variety of emotions, and much more. Does it not make sense we were created by a similar, but much more powerful, being?

Whether we were created by intelligence or non-intelligence, we were still created supernaturally. Whatever made our universe created and defined our laws of nature and physics, so it must exist outside of our "natural" laws and therefore must be "supernatural". Supernatural, Intelligently made creations just makes more sense than supernatural, non-intelligently made creations - especially when intelligence is put into the creation itself.

In a series of cause and effect, there comes a point in time when there must be an uncaused Cause (aka God).

If you don't believe in God, where did the matter and energy needed for the universe come from? Let me guess, it always was.

Thus, I'll call it a draw. If I have no other answer other than God is eternal and the naturalist has no other answer besides saying that matter and energy are eternal, then I guess we are even now aren't we?

John 5
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Jesus said whatever the Father does, he does also. And what did Jesus do? He descended from heaven, was born, lived his life, taught, died and was resurrected, and ascended into heaven again, and is now a glorified resurrected being dwelling in heaven. If Christ did it, it is because the Father did it also.

Was there ever a son without a father, or a father without his father also?

Nobody made him and he has just always existed. When nothing else existed it was just him. At some point he planned out everything in existence first and then created it all from nothing. It doesn't seem to make sense to us that he doesn't have a beginning but there is a whole lot we don't understand.

God was not created. He is the Creator. He created everything out of nothing. He is, was, and always will be, like a circle no beginning and no end, everlasting to everlasting.

No one did.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him.

I do BELIEVE in God.
