Either the green one or the blue clear one?

The Blue card requires a higher credit score than the green because it is actually a credit card and it typically has generous limits (min: 2,000 max: 100,000). I got my green card with score in the high 600's but I got my blue with a score in the 700's. I would suggest getting the Blue because there is no annual fee and I got no interest for 6 months.

You should get a letter from Amex telling you exactly why you were denied. But insufficient income to qualify should definitely be the main reason. Either you had more income when you got your two existing cards or you got them before the law went into affect requiring sufficient income to qualify. Receiving an application or card offer is NOT the same as actually qualifying for the card. People receiving offers often to do actually qualify for that card. Also, if you sister has more credit history and income, she may get approved. It isn't necessarily the amount of debt you have. It's your payment history and income. By the way, if you already have two credit cards, why are you so anxious to have a Amex card? The prestige thing is really just an advertising gimmick. Amex cards are not as widely accepted as Visa, MasterCard or even Discover.
