Why does being a UFC fan mean for so many that you need to trash talk pro-wrestling? It has nothing in common with MME. It's like insulting ice skating to show your love of Dodge trucks. What does it say about the sport that so many of it's fans spend so much time all over the web comparing the UFC to a stage show (even if it is a violent stage show)? Their only problem seems to be that it is fake (like that's news) but then so is CSI, The X-files and General Hospital. It's just another show. Is this behavior how we wish to present the UFC? Hasn't it already taken enough knocks from reality t.v. that has made it's competetors look like a bunch of trash-talking jack-a**es (all the "drama" on those shows looks more like a soap opera than wrestling sometimes)? Once again, my question is, why all the hate? I have asked a couple of versions of this question in the wrestling section but the UFC guys there don't say much (other than "it's fake" or "it sux")

Yes Frank, I doubt that "real" UFC fans bad mouth wrestling. ANYWHERE on the web that talks about wrestling will have A LOT of haters come on and a great many of them then say how UFC is better. UFC specifically and no other sport or group. That's what I don't really understand.

P.S. I meant to say "MMA" not "MME", typo.

Dustin, It's obvious that I didn't say that ALL of the fighters are trash talkers. The statement was about how t.v. portrays them (trash talk sells better than athletics. I like Spike t.v. but ESPN might be a better venue). As far as the wrestling trash talkers, I take issue with them too but that's not what the question was about.

"ufc fans" don't trash talk WWE, in fact most of them at some point used to watch it (I used to watch it alot when it was WWF, before all the b.s. soap opera antics).

A handful of losers go to the wrestling section, most likely kids in their teens with nothing else to do to occupy their time, just report them and don't waste time try to understand a lesser mind.

By the way, it's MMA (mixed martial arts), and that brings another point, only a handful of MMA fans are UFC fans, sadly shows like TUF have brought a new breed of fans to MMA, they watch a couple of UFC events, and "tapout" shows, and become keyboard warriors, the term to describe them is "TUF NOOB". They have little knowledge of MMA, and are not even trained in any type of martial art.

Again, just report those losers, and move on.

good luck my friend!

Because some people just hate. That's what they do, what they live for and what they get off to. They think that it makes them better to hate on things. I am a fan of both. UFC since the first event, but a wrestling fan since birth. I find myself defending both to people. TO those who say that UFC is human cock-fighting and to those who say that wrestling is fake.

Most of the time, to those who bad-mouth wrestling because it's fake, I just tell them "It must suck being you. Not being able to watch a TV show or movie because those are all fake too. Sitting in a movie theater screaming 'That guy didn't die! It's fake!' Not being able to put reality aside for a while to enjoy a show, to have to be serious all the time. That must really suck. I'd hate to be you." Kinda makes them think, you know?

But haters will hate. No matter what. You kinda have to accept it.

As far as your first point, I agree with Frank. Real MMA fans would not bash pro wrestling, many of them being current or former WWE/WWF/pro wrestling fans themselves. The people that bash WWE in the wrestling section are trolls that have nothing better to do than run their mouth and mess with you guys. I have asked similar questions about the hate that WWE fans spread in this section calling MMA gay.

As far as the point of UFC only, that only highlights their ignorance, since they don't realize that UFC is only one promotion of MMA, they are only comparing WWE to UFC because UFC is the biggest MMA promotion.

Oh you mean like how WWE sheep call MMA gay and the fighters talentless? Yup. You poor persecuted wrasslin fans.

TUF fighters are all trash talkers? Hmm.. I don't remember Forrest, Diego, Joe Daddy, or Bisping ever being arrogant pricks. You've never watched the Ultimate Fighter have you?

Let's not forget that many WWE fans hate the WWE too. All I hear is pissing and moaning about how much Cena sucks, yet you still give them your support. Some of us were smart enough to figure out that what we think doesn't matter and Vince just does whatever he feels like. I don't just say it's fake because I watched a couple years ago. I just think you have to be an idiot to hate something but still support it. If you don't like Cena as champion, stop watching.

Not to mention I hear alot of "Oh I know it's fake, but here's why it's real".

i know i watched wwf then the wwe before i got into MMA, i religiously watch pride re runs and all ufc ppvs, i dont hate on the wwe, i watch it sometimes, some people hate the fact its fake when there isnt any point....they go watch movies that would never happen and praise them but hate the fact that there is a violent soap opera...they can get the hell over it....whatever you like to watch...then watch it, and if you dont, then dont watch it....dont make an *** of yourself by crying about how fake it is, there are a lot of things people enjoy that are fake and i do not have any problem with it...enjoy your wrestling and dont let anyone turn you off of it just because they dont like it

I have to agree with the Tank on this one and i personall think he should get best answer on this one. i'm tired of all this immature name calling bull crap that's going on. i'm a huge UFC fan and i actually got into it about 2 years ago, but unlike those "UFC NOOBs" that are out there, i've done everything i can to educate myself on the UFC and MMA. i love the sport. i get pissedoff when idiots go out there trashing. Unfortunately, i don't think that there is anyway that this crap is gonna end because there will always be a endless supply of idiots that will get on her and trash talk the UFC or WWE or whom ever else comes on here.

I love watching MMA fights, but that's because I'm an MMA (Muay Thai & Brazillian Jiu Jitsu) fighter as well...

Trash Talking WWE, I do see your point when kids saying immature things like... "SUX" "GAY" and all that B.S.

I used to watch WWF as well before it turned into WWE.

I don't dislike it, I just started watching MMA over WWE.

Like you said, it's a Television show, and kids that have free time go crazy and type random immature things online.

Anyways, I'm just here to defend, most people who are in MMA or watch MMA started off with WWF, so I doubt they hate what got them started.

I am a MMA fan but, I would never bash something like MME or WWE that gives another person some reprieve from this worlds woes.

Enjoy your wrestling friend!!

Posting stuff like this only gives them what they want, attention. They're posting the stupid questions because they know they'll be rewarded with a ton of mouthbreathers vehemently defending WWE. If you just ignore the retards, they'll get bored and go back to jerking each other off.
