My sister's husband's sister = my sister-in-law?

would I be calling her that?

if not, then i just call her a family friend? im pretty much as close to her as i am to my bro-in-law.

also im talking about in an americanized society. we are actually filipino-american, so in those terms i would call her my sister even heh.

Yes, you can, but it's not 100% accurate.

I used to call my husband's sister and her hubby "my in-laws" because it was easier to say (and they lived with us, so I talked about them a lot) but I found that people kept thinking I meant my mother- and father-in-law.

If you want to be really clear about the relationship, "my sister's husband's sister" is more accurate. If accuracy doesn't matter "my sister-in-law" is near enough. :-)

P.S. I call my sister-in-law's husband my bro-in-law... Is that the same?

If your sister marries a woman you call her your sister in law, it would be pretty offensive to refer to your sisters wife as a man, and the word "brother" definitely is for a man only.

I would technically call her "my sister-in-law once removed.".

NO, the person is only the sister of the brother-in-law. Then would her family have relational titles to you only?

You can call her your co- sister.
