i had to share a room with my sister when we were younger..theres a 5 year age difference. i was 10 and she was 5 and i wanted to kill her at times. she would complain when i played my boom box (i was an 80's kid and damn proud!!) and say stupid illogical things like "jenn keep ur music on UR side of the room" (granted she was 5 but come on now) and she'd tell me i wasnt allowed on her side of the room and she legit put a tape line and i had to cross the tape to get to the door and when i did she would scream bloody murder and somehow i would get in trouble for that...she would also tattle on me if i was listening to my walkman (so she wouldnt hear the music..tryin to be nice) instead of doing my homework... on the other hand sometimes it was nice to have that time with her because i was a brat and wanted nothing to do with her sometimes but she used to ask me to read to her and stuff like that and when she wasnt being a demon child she was pretty cool...however if i played new kids on the block too loud or dared to cross the tape line i thought her head was gunna spin around and she'd vomit green stuff...

I was 7 and my sister was 4 years old. We shared a room together until I was 14 and she was 12. She continued to share a room with my baby brother until we moved to a new house when I was 17. We got along alright until we got older and now we aren't as close as we were. I'm more closer to my 5 year old brother then my 17 year old sister and 7 year old sisters. I guess it's because my brother is the baby and the only boy in the family but we have a very close bond. I'm 20 so that's a 15 year age difference. The good thing I thought about sharing a bedroom was that we usually stayed up and talked all night even on school nights. But it was annoying because we didn't get any privacy since we both shared a room.

Growing up, we were 4 sisters in a room (2 sets of bunk beds). There are 7 years between the eldest and youngest. There is an older sister who had her own room. We each had one small drawer and one large drawer in the same bureau, and some closet space for stuff on hangers. As you can imagine, this got crowded as we got older. There were hand-me-downs and shared clothing. At the time, I don't think that any of us had any complaints; that's just the way it was. Even now, I don't have any complaints. Looking back, good things that came about from sharing the bedroom are increased Tolerance, Cooperation, Sharing, and Gratitude among others. The teenager with the 4-year-old sibling should train it well.

I'm a twin, so we always shared a room, up until about our 16th birthday. We FINALLY got our own rooms. One complaint is buying new clothes and then NEVER finding them. LOL The up side is that (when you're close to the same age and size) you get twice the amount of clothes to go through, even if you're sibling has no idea you're in them!

Yeah I had to share a room with my sister who is 13 years older than me. We had our really fun sister moments but sometimes we would have arguments over me having my toys in the floor LOL It was good because I always had someone there with me when I was afraid of the thunder at night or afraid of the dark. It wasn't really bad

I had to share with my little sister, she's almost 5 years younger than me. My biggest complaint was privacy. Like I'm gettting dressed or whatever, and she just walks in, and it's not like I can tell her to stay out because it was her room, too. Also, when you share with someone that young, your parents feel like they can just walk in, too because they want to know what the younger kid is doing, not realizing or CARING that they're invading the privacy of the older child. Also, I still had to share with my sister when I came home for breaks from college; the issue with that was that by then she was older, and we both had boyfriends and we'd want to talk on the phone or have them over or whatever. Then, I, being over 18 was allowed to have my boyfriend over with the door closed, but she wasn't allowed to close the door. So then when me and my bf were in the room, I had to, like, leave a note on the door so my parents wouldn't just barge in on us, thinking it was my younger sister, lol. Also, she was still in high school, and I was on break, so I'd be trying to sleep in or whatever, but she still had to get up at like 5AM for school....ANNOYING! But she went to live with our eldest sister and her children, so now I don't have to share, yay. And I finally got rid of those lame bunkbeds and got a full-size.
On the bright side of sharing, it was nice to have someone there, like all the time. If you can't sleep or something, you have someone right there to talk to. Also, once I left for college, we started getting along a lot better. I've noticed that with most of my friends who had siblings....once one of them left for college, they started getting along a lot better. I only shared with my older sister for like, 5 years, because she is 11 years older than me, and she moved out when she was 17 because she had her first baby, so we've always gotten along pretty well, and now that my younger sister doesn't live at home anymore, either, we talk on the phone, email, or instant/text message every day...which is funny, because when she lived here, we could go for DAYS without speaking except to say something like, "move your sh*t, I need to get in my closet!"

I had to share a room with my younger sister. She's two years younger than me, and we've been sharing all our lives pretty much.
Luckily we get on, and I'd say it's made us closer than we would have been. We talk to each other as friends, have had intimate discussions, and do all sorts of girly stuff.
Nothing wrong with it at all :)
