Call your dad or other family members. Your mother's mental health is not your responsibility.

From my knowledge, Schizophrenia is a disease affecting the frontal cortex, which greatly affects your mothers ability to differentiate between her imagination and reality - this is of coarse depending on the severity of the illness. The only way you can approach her behavior is to talk to her about it, and make as many attempts as you can to convince her that these evil things are her imagination and that you are here to help her. I am not a fan of Medication, I feel therapy is a better route. Only because I feel some medication (especially for schizophrenia) are more dangerous for an individual then helpful. If you decide to give her medication take the precaution's to research it and make sure it is the best for her.

I don't think you can reason with her in the current state that she is in. She needs a doctor to treat her. Hopefully the doctor will know how to get her to take some medicine. Tell the doctor that she hits you.

It is time to call the authorities if you feel in danger. Your mom seems to be actively psychotic and in need of treatment. Call her psychiatrist and ask him/her what to do.
