How can I minimize the penalties and interest? We now estimate that more tax will be due than what was paid with the 4/15/07 extension, but we won't have all the info needed to file the return til 10/15/07 (due to some late K-1s).

They did away with the "additional extension" right?

Not sure I would do what Pepsi suggested, the IRS will likely apply it to a 2007 estimated payment. Get your tax return completed as soon as possible to minimize late payment penalty and interest.

No additional extension to do what you are asking. Instead just figure out how much more you think you need to pay and just send it in to the same place you sent the 4/15 extension payment to, with the same information written on the check.

Even if you could get another extension, it wouldn't help you on the payment side with penalties or interest. An extension is just to file, not to pay.
