When i was in high school I went to a private all girls catholic school for my first two years. Then for my last two years i switched to a public school. The private school (teachers were horrible, racist, etc.) Anyways i had gone to private school all my life somewhat sheltered you could say. Then i went to the all girls catholic school. Everything changed. It was a party school. Parties everyday of the weekend drinking drugs, the girls were sluts, etc. Then i transferred to the public school and i will have to say it was not as crazy as the catholic school. I think that catholic schools are more wild then public school. But if it is a Christian private or anything but catholic it still is way more sheltered then a public school.

well ur in the wrong section but ill answer anyways..i went to public school then switched to a private...i went to public until 6ths grade and catholic school from 7th grade through highschool. i chose to go to a catholic high school and i got a much better education in my opinion. my sister goes to public high school and isnt getting the same education my brother and i got at catholic schools. everyone is different i know alot of girls at my school that transfered to public schools and loved it, others ended up re-applying to the catholic school and coming back..everyone is different. if i had to go back to highschool and do it all over again i would go to my catholic high school...the fact that it was an all girl (my brother went to an all boy one) made a big difference..i was able to overcome my shyness since there were no boys there and the small class sizes made it easier to learn more (my english class was 6 girls..my entire senior class was 39 girls!!) i may be 22 years old but i will always have plaid pride ♥

a Catholic school has a uniform and assemblies. Like example every Monday the entire school has an assembly. And sometimes your teacher will move to your class room. Trust me I've been to a Catholic School

I went to private Catholic school in DC my whole life. It was insane. Everyone was filthy wealthy. We were all very sheltered. The schools were beyond strict and the parties were unbelievable. As long as you can stay networked with the people you went to school with then you are set for life, no joke. If you don't, you are royally screwed.

i attended a catholic school from pre K to grade 8 then i attended a public high school. I think that there is a major difference between public and catholic schools besides the uniforms and prayers. catholic schools tend to be more sheltered and strict

ur in the wrong section hon,

But I went to public schools all the way to 8th grade then for highschool last year I went to a Catholic school.
There was a bit of a difference for me b/c we pray every morning and I was just used to saying the pledge and sitting down, plus on holy days we have church I guess.

So yah, its a bit different but u get used to it.

The discipline is stricter. The students seem more motivated. More is done with the parents, so that the teachers get backing in the student's home. Parents are advised about home work requirements.
