This is a lab/pit mix we have had at work since he was a pup. He needs a yard and people to play with all the time though. So we have been trying to find him a good home. We even put his profile up through petsmart but no luck yet. He's a year old.

Google "pit bull rescue" and include your town.

Chances are there are some all-breed rescues that take in pit bulls. If you can foster him until he's placed, you might have a better chance of getting him into a rescue program.

Hello,
I foster many dogs and find them the "perfect" home is always hard.. You have to also be careful of who you give him to..

I work at PetSmart and we get people all the time to place there dogs in our store.. Some suggestions that I have for you would be:
~Placing an add in your local newspaper
~Go on Petfinders.com and place a free add.
~Place him on every internet adoption site you can find. (there are quite a few)
~On Sundays take him to your local petsmart and walk him around, letting people see him and telling them about him.. Sundays are Great Days to find a home. (always have good luck with this one)
~Put up more posters, with his profile on it in all local feed stores, and pet stores any place that will let you.

Finding your dog the "perfect" home is hard work and it takes time. Be patient and you will find the right home for him.

Good Luck...

It depends on where you live, a lot of places of pit specific rescues and they are usually pretty good about helping. You could try google searching for one in your area.

Find a pitbull rescue organization near where you are and they will help you find placement and if you are not able to keep him until he is adopted they can help find someone to foster him until he gets adopted. Google pitbull rescues and you should find quite a few.

look for a breed rescue organization in your area. they will perhaps foster him and help find placement. you can look for a national breed association website to find a local organization. good luck!

I heard there's an empty kennel in Virginia... something about the owner being incarcerated.
