I was watching T2 the other day and I seen John Conner hack into a ATM machine using a Atari.(I know this is just a movie)But I was thinking with all of todays computers and gadgets do people do this?If somone was good with computers and knew how the machine worked they probly could pull it off.I know people do this all the time with slot and vending machines.

Don't forget that banks have all sorts of neat technology and stuff now, too.
No, you can't hack into an ATM machine. It'd be much easier to steal someone's credit card and figure out their pin.

Being cheated out of a few bucks at an ATM machine is one thing. Being cheated out of your rightfully-cast vote is something far more treacherous. Diebold has an interest in making sure its ATM machines function accurately, because it would deal with too many complaints (from liberals and conservatives alike). Diebold has an interest in 'rigging' the voting machines because there would be no public backlash (at least until such connivance is proven).
