If you mean that you decided to cancel your credit card, and how long does it take to adjust your credit report or your credit score, then the answer it that you have to pay off the remaining balance on the card, and it can still take 7 years after that for negative info, longer for positive info.
If you mean that you decided to cancel some other type of account that is billed to your credit card, then a few weeks after the refund is processed by the company that had the account that you decided to cancel.

What do you mean "adjust my credit card"? Hopefully as soon as they receive your letter, or immediately if you spoke by phone, they will disable and cancel the card. If you owe them money, that will still be open and payable.
