ive tried this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\
Policies\System

but after current version all i have is internet settings please help

If you're playing around with anything that starts with HKEY_ you're within the system registry...just a bad place to be if you're not a technician. Nothing there has anything to do with setting a desktop background.

For almost any photo you'll encounter, all you have to do is right-click on it, and you'll see the option to "set as desktop background".

right-click on the desktop
select Properties
select Desktop
look for "Background"
click the Browse button
tell the computer where to find the picture

Note: please note that graphics consume memory and that your desktop background will be running continuously in the while you are trying to work with other software or surf.

I have mine set to none to save RAM.
