home made cheesecake is better for sure. Everything is better home made.
But you do need a cheesecake pan for most recipes. and cheesecake is a little tricky so start with a simple kind and build from there.
store bought is also a lot worse for you due to preservatives and other chemicals.

I have a killer cheesecake recipe, have never bought cheesecake anywhere that was better ... but for something other than plain cheesecake, I would say it's better to get from a bakery or restaurant.

Home made definitely, cos who knows what they put on the ones at the shop. They might just try to shortchange you by putting some sort of artificial flavouring stuff etc. Home made on the other hand, you want the best for yourself, don't you? That's why you put all the best ingredients in. So you tell me which is BETTER? Lol!

Homemade hands down, I haven't tasted a store bought cheesecake better than one from home. Their both good, but one from home has a (good) perculiar taste. And I could guarantee that theres more calories in a store bought.

My homemade cheesecake? No question....Sara Lee is better...the shops around here have pretty good cheesecake,,,,,so yeah! I wish I could make a good one, but there you go...I can't....I do make great top of the stove things, but I'm like Rachael Ray....baking is just not my thing..
