#1 - There is nothing wrong with being gay.
Now that thats cleared up, lets get to your question....
What your boss is doing, whether you are straight or gay, is called sexual harrassment. Your boss can be fired for his/her actions. Go to your Human Resources department and put in a complaint.
In most states, the HR department will side with you, and your boss will be reprimanded. However (and this is why we gays demand equal rights), if it is found that you are indeed a homosexual, your boss can literally come into the room 10 times a day and say, "Your gay." Because that is stating the truth, and that is what the law allows. The boss cannot call you that word, however.

My coworker is twice my age and not as qualified for the same job that we both do. To top it off, he calls me kiddo and marvels often at how he's old enough to be my father. Needless to say, its offensive, since the behavior persists and is sometimes demonstrated in front of professionals in meetings.
There isn't a one-shot solution to it. There are few ways that could work. When he calls you a ***, show him your angry face. Because no one should cross that line. If he doesn't get it, ask him somewhat rhetorically - Why do you call me that? OR You know that's really offensive!?! Get really angry and turn your back and shake your head - do it a few times and he'll get the message. Its a misconception that offenders like your boss are obtuse - trust me he will notice. Just don't crack a smile and look at him and shake your head and turn away. If he doesn't get the message then you have to approach him and tell him to stop.
In my case, I had to clarify to my coworker a few times that he can't hold a candle to my father, that he is not my father, that I'm going to start calling him Pops - none of which impressed him, but I kept pointing out my displeasure every time he said, and eventually I pulled him aside and told him - you need to stop calling me kiddo because its uncalled for and I find it offensive. Good luck!

that kind of behaviour is unaproppriate for work. you should report him. because he should not be talking to you or any other of his employees like that. that's just totally rude and obnoxious!! I know you dont want to stand up to him and tell him to stop calling you that. because then things would be awkard between you too. and if you report to the hr or what not. Things will still be akward and then he'll have to appologize to you and mayeb give you the cold shoulder for ratting him out. But it's the right things to do.
And for the best if you feel like you are in a negative enviroment or things get to hostile. I suggest you find a new job. And your boss would learn a good lesson to not disrespect his employees. There is a limit !!!

Big law suit..........
Start writing it down, start with a history of how long, who has witnessed this. Now do research into the HR Policy at the company, get the phone number of the compliance officer, then the numbers of the local civil rights organizations, and now even if not a ***, contact the local gay rights group by phone e-mail, etc and ask how and what you can do ---- you will find they are very helpful.

what you need to do is tell him you are not and tell him respectively to stop what i would do is during this confrontation take a hidden camera or voice recorder with you i would do a camera because then his attorney will have a harder time proving you wrong and for the next several days if he continues to call you gay record it with the camera and then do some research on local lawyers who have one a good amount of case's but remember the more cases they have won the more they charge because they can lol when you find a lawyer he may ask for evidence of this show him and give him a time log of when you told your boss to stop and of the next and last times he called you gay and this will help when your case i hope this helps

its harrasment & its against the law, keep written documents of whatever he is saying to you as well as any attempts you have made to ask him to stop (you have the right to do that) if he fires you for requesting he be more professional then get a lawyer & sue. You do not have to be harrased to work there, you can contact the state & find out their laws or a lawyer who can help you move forward with whatever you want to do, but stand up & dont take it....there are other jobs where you will be appreciated not treated this way (even if you were gay calling you a *** is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR) OR if you sue him while still working there he cant fire you for it (but beware the company will probably find an excuse). Good luck and stand up for yourself, your worth it!

This is your chance to finally start living your dreams. You can meet new and exciting people and have new experences. You can improve your jobskills and maybe increase your pay.
It time to run like hell away and quit your job!
I just discovered that no human being has to accept that kind of treatment. You really are too good for that.
Your new life is waiting for you, it starts with the words: "Dear Boss, I regret to inform you that I will be leaving my position at the end of the week."

Total harassment. You should report him.
Sexual harassment = any sort of comment or action of a sexual nature (i.e. orientation) that is unwelcome and makes the recipient uncomfortable.
If you report him and no one does anything, sue him and the company for not defending your rights as a worker. You have a right to a harassment-free environment.

Whether you are gay or not, your boss could be charged with sexual harassment behaving like that. Is your boss a complete idiot and how on earth did someone like that get to be the boss of anyone.

I'd invest in a small digital recorder that can record 4 hours at a time. I'd splice together all the times he calls you that and play HR a nice blooper reel.
