why would he allow me to live through rheumatic fever at age 11, when (in theory) he knew I'd grow-up to be an atheist? If I had died then, while I was still a christian, I'd be heaven right now, right? But instead it was his plan for me to live and turn into an atheist, so I can instead go to hell. I guess he wanted to give my seat to someone else, huh? Can you explain zat?

When one dies he or she does not go to heaven, nor do they go to hell, at least not right away. And if God predetermined for you to have rheumatic fever at 11, and He does exist, then how can you question His plan for you? He gave you life and everything that comes with it, not the other way around.

Isaiah 19:16 You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay; that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make me"; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"?

We are being tested constantly in this first phase of life, our mortal flesh. Not only does God test us, but He also communicates to us, but not in direct ways. You received rheumatic fever and many other challenges in your life by a Creator who gave you all things, good and bad.

And if you play your cards right, that seat that you think was given to someone else, may still be your seat.

I've got a theory. The only reasonable explanation for things like this is that about 2,000 years ago, there was a palace revolt and a political coup in Heaven... and the Norse 'Trickster' god... Loki... came out on top. Everything since then... particularly Christianity and Islam... has been nothing more than a huge joke for the amusement of Loki (god)... and at the expense of humanity.

Don't think to know what God has planning or what he is thinking. Obviously if you are doubting God now then your faith is not that strong. He will never stop loving you, and he will never stop trying to bring you into his heart. Search your heart if you truly were a Christan you will know what you are looking for. Believe I know from experience. I thought I was a Christan once then I stopped believing in God, then it hit me I was never a real Christan. Think about all the Christians that lived before. Many gave there lives for God. That is the true test or faith. God saved your life once. He can do it again. He saved mine :)

Good luck
Try one prayer if it does not work then................try again. This time stop asking God and thank him.

Life is hard, but God is good. God is always ready to welcome you into His arms. He has never stopped loving you.

There will always be unanswered questions in life, but God is trustworthy; have faith in Him. We are not God, to know and understand everything ourselves.

Some people let suffering turn them away from God, and some people turn their suffering toward seeking God. It is a choice. God wants our relationship with Him to be stable, unshaken by mere circumstances. The Bible says that faith is what pleases Him.

The purpose of life is to be tested. If there is no sorrow, there is no joy. You have agency to choose for yourself. At the end you will be judged according to your works and the desires of your heart.

It was YOUR choice to stop believing in God. Besides if you an atheist why do care? Or are you just a little worried you might be on your way to hell?

Don't avoid the possibility that he actually hates you and looks forward to torturing you. It would be entirely in character, from what we're told.
