even his prayers are detestable."

You mean we can still buy bazooka gum for 5 cents? Tell us where are they selling them for this price?
All things are possible with prayer so I wouldn't rule prayer out because that will probally be the only way you can get that gum for 5 cents.

Prayer isn't about getting what you want, or asking God for a divine miracle intervention. It isn't about making deals with God - "I promise to be a better person if you get me out of this tough spot".
Prayer is about calming down, meditating on life and the problem you have, as though you were having a conversation with God about it, seeing more sides than just your own narrow point of view. This often helps people realize a wiser solution, based on the teachings of God. Look at your life through heavens eyes.

I would have thought you needed more that just five cents for the gum.
I agree that there has been absolutely no scientific proof that prayer has any effect on anything other than a possible placebo effect on those that want it to.

Well through prayer, I know my wrist got healed. But it wasnt even 5 cents so I guess I got a really great deal.
The Kingdon of Heaven is full of good deals but not too many people are willing to shop there.

A prayer, and five cents given to a person who needs five cents can do a lot. If you want to help, go to the people. If you want candy, go to the store...

My suggestion is to try it and see if it works, That way you can know the real answer by experience.
I suggest you try it at least 100 times for it is said, "If at first you do not succeed, try and try again. After that do post you findings so the rest of us will know and can learn from your personal testimony.
Do have a good day and start early.

Do they still actually sell bazooka for five cents? It's nice to know a few things don't change. Now, if you only wouldn't break your teeth on it...
Edit: you are starting to give me '80's flashbacks now.. I don't know if that's a good thing....
