I quite don't seem to find the link between 'god' and 'intelligent'.

No, they are not inseperable. True theology, in contrast to the hogwash that passes for theology in fundamentalist churches, has nothing to do with "intelligent design" as presented today in Dover Penn..
Does what contribute to the scientific vacuity....?

Somewhat.
Take this question for instance,
If there is no Creator of the universe, then where did everything come frome?
Is it that everything came from nothing? (which is what "scientists" currently believe)
If everything came from nothing, then where did the nothing come from?
If there is no creator, was there ever a beginning of time? Will there be an end?
If the universe is expanding (accelerating) outward, then how could the universe be the result of a super-explosion (big bang)? In an explosion, particles do not continue to accelerate but rather slow down over time.
Is it that our minds are not capable of truly understanding the origins of the universe?
If a statement can only be proven by the scientific method, than this statement itself is false because it cannot be proven by such methods.
If the nature of the world is unknown and unknowable than this statement itself cannot be true because we cannot know that it is unknowable.

Most high-quality [read: better educated] theologists from mainstream denominations know better than to sign onto the ID 'vacuity' because it is too full of illogical improbabilities, sloppy [or no] research, iffy proponents and a certain desperate anger amongst its supporters. Sound theology appears to have room for God's presence from the Big Bang onwards. I'd rather think that we share a common ancestor with the great apes than to wrap my head around Noah sailing down the Grand Canyon with a breeding pair of pterodactyls on board.

Well, many people define the Intelligence as coming from a Higher Power, and Intelligent Design in itself begs for a designer, so logic would dictate that SOMEONE or SOMETHING was there.

No, "intelligent design" is just an attempt to pass off religious creationism as science. Creation stories may have a part in theology, but theology is theology, not history nor science. You don't have to take theology as a literal, historical account in order to be a theologian.

Intelligent Design and Theology are inseparable unless you can suggest whose intelligence, other than God's, might have designed the universe.

No, not really. A lot of supporters claimed initially that the creator could be space aliens, but that's faltered. Turns out the intent was to get the Bible in the school. This comes from documents in the federal court case of using Pandas and People in Dover, Pennsylvania school rooms. Documents in possession of the supplier of the books (which were subpoenaed by the court) stated the real purpose behind ID was to get the Bible in the classroom.

Learn English and logic and then retype your question.
More scientists believe in God than those scientists who do not. Our Infinite GOD I AM is the One Uncaused Cause of ALL Reality.
