My name is Molly and I am 13 years old and this is my schedule during the school week.
(5:15am - 7:15am) go to gym to do gymnastics
(7:45am - 2:15pm) school
(2:45pm - 7:00 pm) back at the gym doing gymnastics
(7:45pm) have dinner
(8:00pm - 10:00pm) homework
(10:15pm - 4:45am) sleep
Is my schedule to much for a 13 year old girl who wants to one day be in the olympics? Please tell me what you think of my schedule during the week? And please ask me any question on how I do thing or something if you have any.

Wow you have a very busy schedule, that's GREAT, you must be very good at gymnastics now. I'd say keep up the good work.

Well, you're very articulate for a 13-year-old, so your education is probably not lacking.

If you want to be an Olympic gymnast, you do need to make sacrifices. The problem with the schedule you posted, is that you are sacrificing sleep right now, which isn't good for you. It looks like you are doing more than 6 hours of gymnastics a day, so you are going to need much more sleep or you'll eventually burn out.

Some Olympic Trainees actually have private tutors or are home schooled, rather than attend public school, because they can fit more education into a shorter period of time. They can spend two to three hours on school, rather than 6 in school and 2 on homework, and still learn the same amount of material that those in school would (if not more). Is that an option for you?

If it's not, and you definitely want to continue your Gymnastics Training, you will have to find other areas to cut back. Maybe you can do some of your homework during lunch at school, or during travel times (in the car or on the bus), so that you can finish earlier at night and get to bed earlier.

Best of luck to you and your dream!

6 1/2 hrs is not enough sleep for a 13 yr old. leave the gym at 5, have dinner at 6, and be in bed by 9.

Training for the Olympics eliminates any social life. I recommend that you enjoy any free time with friends.

I wish you the best and may you win the Gold.

It's way too much. You dont get enough sleep first of all and that can really hurt you in the long run.

If this is what you really want keep it up. Except you need some time with your family.
