I have one that yelps when she is excited, but it doesn't sound like this is normal for Bella. Get her to the vet and see WHY she's yelping!

You are not going to like what I have to say, but the truth hurts! It's questions like these, that really ---- me off! Dog's don't yelp for no reason, they yelp because they are in pain. I can't believe, that you did not take her to the vet, the second you noticed, that something was obviously wrong with her, and that it's been 2 weeks already, that you let her suffer in so much pain like this. That is being a very irresponsible owner, unfair and cruel to her. I feel so sorry for her, poor Bella! If she means the world to you, you need to get off the computer and take her to the vet right NOW! Chihuahuas are very fragile dogs, and can get hurt very easily, it could also be something internal, that you can't see.Since you don't know what happened to her, and you've waited this long to get her the proper help that she needs, I can guarantee you that, whatever the problem is, has probably become more serious, now that you have neglected to get her help, when it probably could have been treated alot easier, if you had taken her 2 weeks ago, like you should have, when she first started showing signs of distress. If you love her like you say you do, prove it to her, by getting her to the vet immediately, and hope that it's not something so serious, that it can't be fixed now. Do the right thing, and don't let her suffer anymore than she already has! In the future, if you can't take care of her properly, give her to someone, who will love her enough to give her the proper care she needs, when she needs it. Let me also add, that if you have an animal, that is hurt or sick and you don't get it the proper care it needs, it is against the law, to let an animal suffer without treatment! Shame on you!!!

like other people said, taking her to the vet is a good idea. maybe she is hurt. you won't find out untill you go to the vet. my friend's chihuahua did that. it could also be an age thing. ask the vet.

OMG 2 weeks.. That is a LONG time to allow her to be yelping like she is in pain, and not doing anything for it.. Are you waiting for her to die?? When does something that makes you yelp in pain, just go away??
Have you had severe pain?? Even if it's only for a couple of days, it feels like a week.. Take the poor dog to the vet...

she could also have some sort of arthritis or patellar luxation.
Patellar luxation is a very common genetic defect in chihuahuas, so you might want to have her checked out.

is she scooting? she may have swollen anal glands and while sitting they may pain her, have a vet do a physical exam and check her glands, they tend to be a big problem in little dogs.
