How come when you squint you can read things better?

It forces your eye to focus through a narrow slit.

Did you know that you could put a pin hole in a piece of paper and if you need glasses your eye will be forced to focus in a different manner and you can actually see better?

I have a hard time thinking that anyone who needs to squint to read has some form of improved viewing. Sounds more to me that they're neglecting the need to see the eye doctor and possibly something for corrective vision.

I've still got 20/20 - - go get those peepers checked!

becasue you're decreasing your field of vision and the focus is narrowed...
