I've tried that nail polish that tastes terrible, and it worked for a little bit...like a little less than a week. I put on another coat, let it dry and everything...and over the next couple days I noticed that my food and everything I touched tasted like the nail polish! It was awful. I took it off right away. I've tried to just tell my self to stop, but for some reason I keep doing it. Someone said to go to a hypnotist, but seeing as I'm only 14 thats a bit extreme too me.

Any other suggestions? All are appreciated :)

honestly- get a really good manicure and you will think twice about biting your nails. mine are terrible and the only time i can stop is if i have a really nice set on. they look like sh*t if you bite them even a little bit!

I work extensively with my hands so I can't get manicure's any more (there's just no point) but I do try to keep a toothpick around so that I'll have something to do with my mouth when i get fidgety

I've had this problem all my life. i'm 46. i finally found a solution. get acrylic nails at the nail salon. it's about $25 but you kind of CAN'T bite them then. or the cuticles, which is where my problem starts. because the nails are not sharp. anyway it's worth a try. after that it's about $15/month. it's worth it for me to have my fingers look good.
