my dog has developed 3 or 4 brown patches of fir on his hind legs which can be very easily be pulled out with my fingers,he is eating as normal and dosent seem to be irritated by this,any thoughts would be very helpful??

yes it happens every summer with my labs ( I have had 5 black labs) Eros right now is doing it.. Just groom them really good and try to give them baths a couple times a month just to get rid of the hair.

Yeah, it's called shedding. My Labrador mix has had this all her life; it shed fur that hasn't fallen out of the coat. Brush and come him more often.

Have him checked for hook or whip worms by a stool sample. Classic symptoms

it sounds like it's dead hair try brushing him.
