I mean any form, by your own boyfriend, or daterape, or by a stranger. I am just wondering how common this is, I think it's more common than most people think. Share your story, if you want to. This has happened to me TWICE. I have a couple of friends who also have been. It's sick how often this happens.

Wow--look at the turnout. Even more than I expected. That's really sad. but I commend all of you women who were brave enough to tell your story.
As for the idiots wondering why this is in etiquette--get the sticks out of your butts...it didnt bother the people whose opinion mattered to me.

I think like most woman here we all feel the same way.
I was molested by my brother for 3 years when I was 10 and the day he left home I told my Dad and Mum. I have forgiven him for it. He is my brother after all. It took 23 years though.
A year after he left I was walking home from school and was abducted, drugged and raped by four guys.
I also had an ex-boyfriend who repeatedly bashed and raped me.
I am now living in a different state and am married to a wonderful guy who I know would never lay a finger on me.
I like many others have been through hell and back and personally it (though if I could go back in time I would change what happened) has made me stronger.
As to the coward who suppressed his ID as you quoted:
"Women abuse the "rape" claims. Teasing a man to point of erection and promising sex and then saying no? And the woman who CLAIMS she was raped 4 times? what, was she a hooker or what?"
I would really like to see you in a room full of woman who has been raped and you saying that. Then we'll see what happens. It's ignorant people like you who should be in prison being "raped".

Wow, interesting tale there. If she has or hasn't raped that guy, she seems to be ****** up contained in the pinnacle regardless after that canines ingredient and her stalkings. particularly the descriptions they gave in this tale. properly it in all hazard happens, yet is uncommon. yet so a methods because it no longer being attainable to take place, by using fact a guy is extra suitable than a girl or is prepared. I used to foolishly think of that, yet mutually because it may take extra artwork, i'm incredibly specific a girl would desire to rape a guy inspite of the adaptation of tangible capability in a guy. a girl would desire to blend the rape drug in a guy's drink and viagra, to which he's knocked out and then she has him tied up, yet whilst he awakens, erect even inspite of the undeniable fact that he's not any longer consenting to intercourse, yet by using viagra in his gadget and he won't be able to do something from being sure or regardless of. that's dumb to think of a guy is often will for intercourse. If she is unattractive and a guy isn't able to do something or face as much as, he maximum possibly heavily isn't consenting and then the standards of STDS or perhaps worse, the transmission of AIDs, considering the fact that there of course will maximum possibly no longer be secure practices used if a girl is forcing herself on a guy and then the concern of pregancy additionally. a guy no longer with the flexibility to have the skill or selection of secure practices from that by using fact of being tied op, drugged, or compelled would desire to be against his consent, of direction, which might propose rape.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you...and twice! That's horrible. I, too, have been the victim of rape. Since it was a date rape by my boyfriend, it was impossible to prove. When I told my friends and family of it, they blamed me. That's why it was never reported. If own family wouldn't take it seriously, why would the police?
Rape, in any form, happens more than the statistics show because most women don't report it for the above reasons. It is sick how often it happens. Most men have no self control and think that no means yes. (I say most men because there are some men who actually know and respect the meaning of "no.") What's even worse is that most authorities don't take rape seriously. Maybe it's due to the fact that most of the people in power are men. And you know what they say about "bros before hoes..." Disgusting.

Though I personally have never been the victim of sexual assault, I have worked for a rape crisis center and I know that statistically, about 75% of sexual assaults are commited by someone the victim knows, be that a date, boyfriend or aquaintance. I also know that most rapes of this nature are not reported to the police. From what I know, its usually more traumitizing for the woman when its someone she knows. Its a sick world, and it's sad that people so often lose their faith in humanity in this manner. I'm sorry this happened to you, you might want to talk to a proffessiona to work through some of your feelings. Best of Luck

As a guy, I feel like apologizing to all the women on this forum for the abuse (but I have never hurt any women). I did however just read a book about Chinese women in the military during the cultural revolution, and she said that most women were raped over and over in very violent ways, and the army refused to help or investigate. I hope this helps your question.

Some form of sexual assault/rape occurs at the rate of one in every three women/girls. Look at the female sitting to your right, and now your left. One of you will be, or has been the victim of sexual assault. A truly sad statistic.

Hi Jukebox. I have never been raped but I was molested when I was 5 or 6 years old. It was by my female cousin. I told my sister and she told my mom. My mom was angry at me first and then kicked them out but never called the police on them. It makes me angry that my mother didn't send my cousin to jail. She is still living free and now has children. There's a law though that you can report molestation even after it's been a long time. As soon as I transfer to a university, I plan on putting her behind bars.

once while i was pretty much passed out, by friend of mine who was supposed to be watching over us girls at a party so that nothing would happen to us if we got too drunk. i was 17.
repeatedly over the course of a week by my (now) ex husband when i told him i wanted a divorce.
i almost got raped when i was 12 by two slightly older guys, but thankfully someone walked in. one of those guys repeatedly sexually assaulted me over the course of a couple years. (at school)
