They are currently in the process of getting new cars - the R160.

These will replace cars purchased in the 1960s. It will take at least another year before all the new cars are delivered.

At present there are at least 3 full trains (10 cars each) of R160s on the N line. These cars are still being tested in service.

To Mr. E: bf - she??? Well - whatever. The subway cars are as wide as they can be otherwise they would scrape the tunnel walls an worse.

My bf says they could be wider but thats why I drive, I haven't been in subway cars for a long time so have nothing to offer other than what she has said to me.
