Staffies seem to be one of the breeds that get pyometra often, please keep an eye on her afterwards for any "wierd" discharges, or no discharges, lethargy and any "depression".
Hopefully, yours will be okay, I am no trying to be negative, so please don't take it like that, my intention is that you are aware of the possibility of Py with the staffie. Yes, other dogs get it, too. Staffies just seem to be one breed who gets it "often"....

Bitches In Season

She will be in season for the same time as any other breed - about 3 weeks. Her discharge will be heaviest for around 10 days, then it will lessen & turn lighter in colour. This is when she is at ther most receptive to other dogs. She will remain in season for around another 10 days. To be absolutely sure that she won't get caught, keep her away from all male dogs for 4 weeks (count from the 1st day you saw blood.)
She will be fine, don't baby her, just be matter of fact with her & she's soon get used to it.

3 weeks. After she's done take her in and get her fixed, that way you'll never have to see your girl be sad about it again.

Also do as heavenly says. Keep her away from unaltered males. You can go to your local pet store and get some "doggie diapers" these will not only take care of the blood but will act as a chastity belt. Good luck, hope your girl feels better.
