Have you ever browesd through a ring store in the mall for the heck of it with your g-friend, whether it was your idea or hers? How did it make you feel?

The stores know extremely well how to play you both. Sadly most people fall face first into their scam because few people know that diamonds have little real value. The price is controlled by the industry and is entirely artificial.

Women have been so well programed to believe that there is a symbolic value to them that they eagerly jump deep into debt for them.

A good rule of thumb regarding buying a ring is do it just before getting married so that you both can enjoy the debt.

That would be like asking her "Honey, what do you think about spending the rest of our lives together?" If you're looking for rings, a guy won't EVER just browse with you unless he's planning on marrying you.

If a guy does this, and he is looking at engagement rings, not watches, he is trying to gauge the reaction of the female to the stimulus of diamonds lol

I avoid that like the plaugue. Most women will subconciously trick you into spending more than you can afford (and those salespeople know it). If I'm buying any jewlery for my girl I will go by myself.

No problems at all. It is natural for one or both to think a bit into the future.
