Ok the problem is that I deleted the "My Documents" folder. I have my files in an extra place so it's fine, but now I can't get back the folder itself!

I'm using Vista, and the "Documents" in my Start menu doesn't open anything.

When I right click it, it only shows the options: Copy, Rename and Properties.

When I click on Properties, it only shows one tab: General, and the form is BLANK!! PLEASE HELP!!

I tried to make another folder and name it "Documents" but it doesn't link to the Start menu's "Document"

I deleted my taskbar. I've been on the internet for 4 and a half years now, unable to shut down.

first off is a technicality. Vista does not have My Documents XP and before does but Vista does not. its just Documents

Second open computer click on c click on users click on your name. click on documents. if you deleted this documents folder.. your screwed. perhaps you can restore the recycle bin? if you emptied that too... you might be out of luck. you can create a new user and your documents folder will work for that user but no documents.

You can find it in your recycling bin, double click its icon and when its open find your "my documents" and double click it and restore it. If that does not work, do a system restore and restore your computer back to a date when you had your "my documents". If you need help on restoring your computer just ask and i will try my best to help explain

Go to the recycle bin and restore it. Otherwise, create a new one. The old one goes bye bye! Unless, there're things you really want to have them back, then go to the computer store. They can restore file for you at some cost.

Go to the re-cycle bin or go to the search menu to find it.

Click on your recycle bin and see if its in there--if it still is, click on restore--that should do it unless you emptied your recycle bin.
