You need to be terminated through no fault of your own. You need to file an unemployment claim as soon as you are dismissed. If you snooze, you lose for sure, as they will not go back to any previous dates; the date starts when you make the claim.
There is a one week waiting period or more if you receive any sort of severance pay.
You have to be actively seeking full-time employment and most on-line filing require you submit information the at least 3 placed you have applied to each week and the outcome.
Unemployment will not pay until all vacation or severance is paid out.
Most unemployment is only for 6 mos to allow you time to find a new job.
Your unemployment benefits are based off of a forumla depending on what your pay was for the past 18 month and how any dependents you have.
Any current or prior employer within the past 18 months will be sent notice of your unemployment, as it comes out of the unemployment insurance, and had the right to dispute your claim. If they do, they can hold up any benefit you might receive.

The skills for accumulating unemployment are which you earn a definite volume of wages over a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days time-physique and which you be laid off by no fault of your own. you won't be able to stop and convey at the same time unemployment. Your corporation would be contacted interior the progression which you place up a declare for unemployment. while the corporation we could them comprehend which you stop, resigned, or voluntarily deserted your job the state knows which you're unemployed by ability of selection and your declare for reward is denied. proceed working and seem for a clean job. Quitting for any reason and hoping that unemployment will furnish your earnings may well be a foul selection with an unhappy ending.

Contact the unemployment office in your area as it may vary from state to state. You probably cannot draw if you were fired for an infraction (or it may depend on the reason)...and you only get a small % of what your base salary was. During the time you draw, you must be seeking employment.
I drew it back in 1987 or so I think, in Louisiana but I no longer live there and thankfully haven't needed to apply for it since then.
What does this have to do with Singles & Dating? It should be in the Careers category area.

Wrong category.
Besides that, google for Unemployment State, ie Unemployment California, unemployment New Jersey, etc.
You can generally fill out the forms online. You had to have been employed at least a certain number of months, generally 12, and you must actively seek work, and fill out forms once a month documenting your job search.
The amount of money you will collect is based on your salary for the past year.

I assume that you mean eligibility. They base unemployment payments to certain quarters in the past year. You will have to have worked a certain number of hours. Call your local employment office. They can help you out. Good luck to you.

first thing is you have to have worked and payed into the system before you get something back, its not like welfare. Usually you have to work a certain amount of hours in the state you apply in, and you get a certain amount depending on how much you earned. go to your local unemployment office with your ss# and addresses of jobs, and you need to have been layed off not fired or quit.
