It really makes me mad that now days there are all these people into shooting that need to be at home playing Halo.I was at the range the other day and there were these two kids there blasting music and shooting guns gangster style,I asked them why they shoot like that and they said its more accurate.
Ok.I was there shooting my 460 and this stupid kid comes up and pickes up my Glock.I told him thats a good way to get shot.He put it down and mumbled somthing and left.He didnt ask to see it he just came over and picked it up.It was laying maybee 10 feet from me.I allways shoot there and I never had problems like this before. When they were leaving I wrote down there license plate # and make of car.I called the president of the club.He said they had problems before with them. They were bringing Tvs and garbage to out range shooting it and leaving it there. These stupid kids need to stay at home and play Halo before they get hurt or hurt themselves.

This is what happens when parents don't teach their kids about guns, they turn 18, and start playing, and have no respect for the weapons (and haven't been taught respect for people either, it sounds like). Hopefully those kids will tell someone the story about how rude you were to them, and whoever hears it will set them straight and tell them that they are the idiots, not you.

I 100% agree with you! They should study books instead of trying to learn to shoot "gangster style". I dont know what for but it sounds menacing. I hope it is for the sake of coolness.

They seem to treat guns as toys and not as a sport. Yes that was rude of the kid who picked up the gun like it wasn't a dangerous weapon. Where are the people that watches over the range? Isn't there any enforcement for unruly behavior?

the range manager of the range I go to is pretty good.. If he sees someone that isn't being safe he asks them to leave and to not return.
Most of the shooter that are in the range are serious shooters. We don't get the punks for a variety of reasons. The people that come to the club that are new have to register and have a hunter safety training card on file before they can shoot.

it's unfortunate your range does not have supervision.

Perhaps members could set up a volunteer schedule and enforce club rules.

Rules 1 - All Guns coming into the club are unloaded and holstered until you reach the line.
Rule 2 - All targets purchased on location
Rule 3 - Hunter Safety Certificate must be on file.

Any violations will result in being barred..

They are disrepectfull little brats. I dont' think I could have stayed as cool as you did. How dare they walk up to your table and pick up one of your guns with out asking? That made me mad just reading it. Our club does not have a range master either. Basiclly, it is left up to those of us shooting, to control the line (line down or line hot is what we say). I would have been calling the president of the club right away to let him know what is going on. Maybe that way, someone else would have cought them in the act and would have been able to contact their parents.

first sounds like they need a trip to the wood shed

at our club we actually have as part of the membership all 3 year+ members have a rotating schedule 3 of us are there every weekend 1 for the trap field 1 for the skeet field and 1 for the rifle/pistol/archery range.

our rules are simple only paper targets on the rifle range, pistol we have a spot with bowling pins or paper target holders

rule infractions 1 warning only
then it is up to vote of the membership if you get to remain a member or if we give you the boot.
