North Carolina is blessed with having the Gulf Stream close to its Cape Hatteras shoreline - about 25 miles. Therefore no need to travel far to go deep sea fishing and catch bluefin tuna. The best month for bluefin tuna is January.

gulf stream hugging the island chain makes for a quick drive...
as of last report, the stripers have been hitting, and yellowfin have been mixed...
