The pulsing you are probably feeling is your aorta as your heart works hard to force blood throughout your body. The more fat you accumulate, the bigger the strain (and hence high blood pressure). Place your first and second fingers gently against your neck so you can feel your pulse at the carotid artery. If this keeps time with the pulsing in your mid-gut, then you are feeling your pulse. If not, it could be gas or inflammation in the intestine.

At 5'8"/225 lbs., you are classified as obese, nearly morbidly obese (BMI=34.2). You should consult with a dietitian and exercise therapist to get on track to lose considerable weight. Your internist can help you fix the remaining metabolic issues with medication until you can lose weight. You are at high risk for developing diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

I hope you are taking treatment and following the dietary restrictions.
It may be a relapse and you may need to take full treatment again.
Good luck!

It might be nothing. But with your weight and medical history, a check-up is a good idea.

Good luck!
