Possibility #1:
This dream could potentially have two interpretations, depending. Was the prayer in the dream something that you feel strongly about in your waking time? In other words, would you or have you actually prayed about the issue while awake? If so, it's quite possible that your dream served as a vessel through which God/your higher power answered you.
Possibility #2:
Dreams are our mind's way of sorting things out sub-consiously, that our mind may be unable to sort out consiously (awake). It may be telling you that you are ready to further expand on your spiritual awareness/ belief in God. How did the answer that you received make you feel upon waking up? It happened to me too. in a nightmare, I was trapped in an elevator in a dangerous building and scared to death.
I prayed. Suddenly, I was outside.
And nobody is going to make me believe that it was all in my mind!
This is a recurring dream. I know what it means, and am waiting for the problem to end.

It means that there was something on your heart that might have concerned you and God was letting you know that your prayer has already been answered and to stop worrying about it. You don't have to keep asking Him over and over about the situation and it's already done for you. Just keep praising Him until it comes to pass.

It sounds to me that you want belief or more belief involved in your life. The fact that your prayer got answered is a way of you telling yourself that religion is real and that you do believe. hope that helps.

I was listening to TD Jakes and he said sometimes God talks to us while we are sleeping because we can hear him more clearly then. The chaos of our lives sometimes blurs our vision or blocks our hearing and we can't hear what He says...
