In recent times, every car manufacturer has been producing petrol as well as diesel engine automobiles. Diesel engines are environmentally friendlier and last twice as long as petrol. I must admit though, that I have never seen a Lexus car/van in diesel.

lexus has the 220 D which is a diesel and the 250 wich is the Petrol.

i know we all get a laugh when someone puts petrol in a Deisel but I have driven petrol cars for 20 years and if i move to a deisel its 20 years worth of habit to break.

(no i havnt done it either)

I don't think any car, Lexus or other, can run on either unleaded gasoline or diesel fuel. The motors are built to operate on one or the other, not both.

There are petrol versions, which have been around since 89' and diesels have been recently introduced. Lovely cars though !!!

Is that a wah?
Depends which one you buy...the petrol model or the diesel model!
I bet youre the type who puts unleaded in a diesel car arent you?! Black and green ARE confusing!

To run unleaded gas, the engine and fuel system will need modification to prevent damage. Otherwise, the valve seals and possibly other engine components will be damaged. Leaded gas was used due to higher output power and better system lubrication. There are additives availible to compensate for the lack of lead in the fuel.

Normally Petrol (unleaded) but they have recently brought out a diesel version.
So the answer is BOTH. OK

Depends on which model.
The IS220d runs on diesel, all other models run on petrol.
