Nothing prevents me from eating pickles except for the fact that they are nothing more than cumbers soaked in concentrated evil

I don't eat pork for a bunch of reasons but I'm not legalistic about it. If I am at someones house and they are having ham I will have a piece. I don't really miss it much. Maybe once a year I get a craving for a bacon cheese burger ( a double no no) I just let it go and move on. Its not something major for me I just do the best I can. God I trust to understand its people who probably won't.

As an atheistic agnostic, I'm prevented by the Catholic Church from eating the body of Christ, i.e., their blessed communion wafers. (They even keep them under lock-&-key.)
However, I've tasted them before in an unblessed state, and they taste like notebook paper. (For that matter, they may BE notebook paper.) The blessing is no more than religious mumbo-jumbo, so it can't change the taste. I don't have any desire to taste them again. Give me a loaf of good bread, a hunk of good cheese, a bottle of good wine, and some good company ... that's what I'd call communion.

Deuteronomy 14:8 (New International Version)

8 The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.
and the link where i found it. my religion is based on the Holy Bible. from start to finish :)

Not my religion, but my beliefs prevent me from eating swine - I figure that if the Muslims and the Jews can agree that pig meat is bad for you, it must be REALLY bad - because they don't agree on much else. But I've tasted most pork products, and I don't miss them at all. I don't eggs or tofu either, just because they make me sick. Thanks for asking a pig question!

i am muslim, which i don't eat ham or pork. however, i had eat ham by mistake, and believe me, i am not missing much. because my body wasn't used to this meat, i was almost throwing it out back (i didn't know it was ham when i want to throw it out). i knew later that it was ham.
we also not suppose to drink blood , so i am not missing much either for that one.

My religion discourages the use of coffee. My mom was a huge coffee drinker, and it always smelled like melted black crayons to me.
Nah. Don't think about it much.

you'd probably only wonder what it tastes like, because you were forbidden to taste it ....
a religion doesn't forbid you from eating a Dandelion growing on a side walk ..... so when you pass it by .... do you think about tasting it ??
Probably not.
