Why do people say mum and dad. Not Dad and Mum ?

because you come from the woman's womb and Mom's will always come first when talking about parents. There is that special bond between the Mother and her child.

bcose mum is always first, children always live with mum, mum has more pain than dad when some thing happen

"mum" is used in the eastern hemisphere for the most part.
