And didn't cause the price of gas to go up?
Are you sad that the hurricane didn't hit the USA?

I was too busy at the Detroit dream cruise to even notice. All those wonderful old gas guzzlers puffing away.... It's a tradition here in the motor city.
Gas went up 10 cents locally due to hurricane "Dream Gouge".

No I'm not sad that it missed the US. I was also happy to hear that the most intense part of the storm narrowly missed Jamaica, so the people there got lucky.

Also, I don't think that you refer to sea based oil platforms as "oil fields". I think oil fields are when they are on land, like in Texas or the middle east.

I am glad that the hurricane misses any populated areas, no life loss, no refugees, etc. I am also glad that we don't need to rebuild because rebuilding implies more consumption of the precious raw materials from the forests, the fuel for the constructions, etc.
We don't need to have our house burned down to learn that we shouldn't be playing with fire. We don't need to see the price go any higher to understand the need for alternative energy source and work on improvement of energy efficiency.

Uh, no? Honestly, Mister Jell-O, you'd have to be an idiot to think anyone is actually going to answer "yes" in earnest.
