My mom is getting married in late November. We just found out last night. She wants my to be the maid of honor. She asked me to help her with a lot of stuff, which I don't mind at all, but she asked me what colors would look good. I have no idea. It will be late fall early winter so everything will be kinda dead and dark outside. It will be a church wedding. She is going to wear a cream colored or Ivory dress. And her husband to be is going to wear a light gray suit. Any ideas?

I got married in November and had a deep red color with eggplant accents. I thought it was beautiful. (my dress and table linens were also ivory)

Here are some pictures.

It gave a very elegant and classic feel. We loved it.

Use the color of red wine with a dark orange. Those colors would look great together. Use autumn leaves for decor or even as the theme.

Plum or purple would look great in the fall and compliment both ivory and gray very nicely.

Look to nature for your inspiration....Burgundy and wines...of Fall and leaves around you...with a mix of fall golden yellow, oranges, and reds...and nice harvest theme will look wonderful...then you can mix all the colors... and with it right around the corner you can strt looking for stuff now...you could wear a dark color to offset her cream will look awesome!

I would choose a darker grey color for a fall wedding or the classic black. Now for other colors, cream and brown complement each other as does orange.

I think that for a fall wedding, dark colors would look good - like burgundy or maroon or dark green even!

I am also wearing an ivory colored dress and my bridesmaids will wear red.
I love that color combo!
You could go with ivory/dark purple
ivory, brown
ivory, burnt orange
ivory, sage.

our wedding was in the fall and we used a nice maple red. I just thought about the colors that the leaves turn in the fall and went from there

Red would look awesome, especially since it's kind of a fall color. Maybe even orange? Maroon? Peach? All those would look beautiful. Good luck and have fun planning! :)

How about yellow? The leaves will be changing then, and will look smashing. The yellow will brighten up the wedding.

Does your mom have a favorite color? Maybe use her favorite color since it's her wedding.
