I'm not the one driving and please don't say any palm handhelds (cell phones, Nintendo DS) or iPods.

Bring a camera. Eveytime you see an interesting photo opportunity, you could take pictures. This will keep your interest for 15 hours plus you'll have great photos. Also think of a way you will organize these pictures. On the web, in a photo album, or who will look at them.

I love Sudoku personally. I also invested in a portable DVD player because 15 hours is a long drive. A pillow would be nice, because more then likely in a 15 hour time span, you will fall asleep sooner or later. Snacks too, just incase you get some munchies in between stops. And if you are gonna eat something, you might also want something to drink.

Not sure what else you need, but where ever you are going, have fun!

A few ideas:

magazines, crossword puzzles, book, or paper and colored pencils so you can draw if you like to do that

I know you said no handhelds, but one cheap thing you could bring (if money is the issue) is one of those handheld solitare games that you can buy at Walmart....you can get one for less than $10

Or you can get some language tapes/books and try to study a language you've always wanted to learn!
