Mat 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
Mar 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in him.
It doesn't say it as you worded it, but it does say it.

"Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary?"
- excerpt Matthew 13:55
"Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What is the wisdom that has been given him? What mighty works are wrought by his hands! Isn't this the carpenter?
- Mark 6:2-3

Matthew 13:55-56
55"Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"
Also clearly points out that Jesus the Christ, did have half-brothers and half-sisters. Mary and Joseph had children together, but some Christian denominations ignore this fact.

The Bible is clear that Joseph kept Mary a virgin until after Christ was born..
Matthew 1:25
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
I would think that Joseph knew about Mary long before this event so this would have to mean know her in a biblical sense. That would end her virginity and make it possible for her to have other children... Jim

I don't think there is a scripture that says those precise words, tho Jesus was referred to as the "son of a carpenter". 2+2 and all that.

It doesn't. Its a mistranslation of the greek word "tektor" meaning more like a builder than a carpenter. Quite a lot of the Bible bears little resemblance to how it was originally written in fact, due to various badly translated parts.
