windows xp hangs after installation?

i installed a windows xp and it hangs on the part stating "applying settings". but if i install a redhat linux its fine, the computer doesn't hang

Reinstall Windows using the correct and up to date drivers for all motherboard systems like IDE controllers etc.

Same goes gor the other time you asked same question.

make sure that there is no hardware problem in ur PC.
may be ur ram is not operating correctly.
