i installed a windows xp and it hangs on the part stating "applying settings". but if i install a redhat linux its fine, the computer doesn't hang

Reinstall Windows using the correct and up to date drivers for all motherboard systems like IDE controllers etc.

Same goes for the other times you asked same question.

XP must be put in in the previous crimson Hat. If this is the form you probably did it, re-submit and clarify precisely while this "carry" occurs.
