I have a cat that I found as a stray about 2 months ago, well, we took her to the vet and found out that she is pregnant and that she is due any day now. I thought that she was going into labor saturday because she had runny poop and all but not its monday and we still have no kittiens and I am really worried because there is alot of blood in her poop. The babies are still moving around alot and she is eating and drinking? Does anyone know what is going on and if I should worry about it?

When I took her to the vet they did a stool sample cause they thought that she had something called " stomich roit " cause she was really bloted but nothing came up.... not even worms. Does anyone think that she may need a c-section?

the blood might be because she has worms, i'm not sure, hon.
if the blood is in her STOOL, not coming from her vagina, i wouldn't think it's a pregnancy problem?
i think your best bet is to give the vet a call and let them know about this.. if you didn't take a stool sample when you took her to the vet the first time, maybe you could do that now?
i am sure the vet's office will give you advice and help.
yes worry about it, until you get some answers from the vet.
i am jealous by the way! i love cats and kittens, but can't have a pet cat right now! take care of you and those kitties!

Bloody poop could mean an intestinal infection, but it might simply be the start of labour. The cat will know when she's ready to have her kittens, so calm down and let her get on with it. And your vet is only a phone call away too!
Do you have homes for the kittens? It would be a shame if they ended up straying like their mum just because no-one wanted them.
Edit: I agree with Tina the cat lover, make sure you get your cat spayed as soon as you can. You don't want to be responsible for a surge in unwanted cats.

She could be fed canned and dry chow it is made for kittens. This has an more advantageous protein and fat content, which she would manage to fashion for a healthful being pregnant and healthful kittens. If she does not acquire sufficient meals, her physique will rob itself to furnish what the fetuses want, and he or she would manage to be in undesirable situation while giving delivery. proceed feeding her this nutrients till the kittens are weaned. It takes nutrients to make nutrients, and while she is nursing she would manage to fashion the better energy to produce milk. I provide pregnant cats all they want to consume. They get canned nutrients thrice an afternoon, and there is dry chow out all of the time. With the present disaster over tainted nutrients, you could sense greater soft with a vet formulation, despite the fact that to my know-how, there have been no comments interior the breeding community over Purina professional Plan Kitten, Iams Kitten or the Royal Canin Kitten formulation.

worry too much, its just her body getting ready. our cat was the same the first time she had kittens.
if she is still eating then she is ok. normally they will stop eating a few hours before the plop em out, but not every cat is the same.
just keep a watchful eye on her, each kitten should com out within 30 mins or so of each other and during this time she will clean em up etc...
it can be quite scary but she will know what to do. just keep a towel, warm water and tissue handy incase you need to help clean them up. especially cleaning the nose area

I'd be a bit concerned about her because if you can feel the babies moving around then they are at the stage when they should be out! For her safety, and of course her babies, i'd take her back to the vet if she hasnt had them by morning. I hope it all turns out well.

call the vet. tell them her symptoms, and they will tell you if you should bring her in. make sure that she has a decent sized box to go in for labor and delivery. she should be able to turn around in it and lay totally stretched out in it. put in an old towel or blanket for delivery, then replace it with another after the kittens are born. make sure the box is put somewhere quiet so she does get annoyed and move the kittens someplace "safer".

It could be a number of things, down to aborting the kittens, but if i was you, i would call the vet and ask for advice just to be on the safe side. He/she will be able to advise you what to do. Good luck!

I think i would take her to the vet, blood from anywhere is not a good thing, in my experience once cats start in labour it`s fairly quick, a couple of hours.
