Hello - I live in the USA. Let me assure you that absolutely no one inside of the US cares if India acquires nuclear technology. If India tested a bomb tomorrow nothing would happen. This is not an issue for Americans. Unfortunately, right now we are trying to persuade other countries (mainly Iran) to not build nuclear weapons, so politically we are unable to say "yes" but at the same time, we really don't care.

If at all it happens, the US will sell only the worn-out and rubbish products and take the price of original high-quality products.

Moreover, the US will never sell nuclear bombs to India. It knows it cannot woo India fully. That is why it is still so close to Pakistan. As someone rightly said in YA, the US shows its apparent concern for India because it wants to spread its hegemony in Asia and because it fears China.

We need not purchase nuclear bomb, from any one. We can make it ourselves. Now the deal for not buying bomb, it is was buying Uranium, for producing Electric Power. Since, with Uranium, one can also make bombs & other nuclear war heads, USA is is wanting to get into an agreement with India, where India is prohibited from making nuclear bombs & war-heads.
