I believe in Evolution.
I know that scientists dont have ALL the fact as they are still uncovering more and more evidence everyday. So they learn more everyday and answer more questions. But some people are impatient. They think that just because science doesnt have every single answer right now and that since theories get changed sometimes, that the theory of Evolution has no credibility. Some people settle on believing in 'faith' cuz with that, there's no QUESTIONING anything, you just BELIEVE that some mysterious being created everything. Which definitely causes IGNORANCE cuz you dont use your brain.

Pay no attention, MT, to the advice that evolution is a FACT. As any responsible scientist will tell you, evolution is a THEORY. And you may feel free to believe (or not) any theory, fact, or idea that you care to.
You have VERY CORRECTLY said that "Evolution HAS too many facts ...". Exactly right. The theory is based on facts -meaning verifiable data, pieces of information, -such as the DNA sequences of various species.
The word, "theory" means something very special in the world of science. Unlike the everyday definition of a "guess," a scientific theory is a systematic way of organizating, classifying, and understanding related factual material so that comprehensive explanations of phenomena may be expressed. In short, the facts tell us "what," the theory tells us "how and why."
I don't know that yanking a kid out of class causes him or her to lose their logical thought process; it may well stimulate it.
You've done an exceptionally good job of perceiving that the theory of evolution makes a lot of sense. And, like all theories, it will change as new data (facts) are discovered. I'm hopeful that you don't make the mistake of thinking that the theory suggests there is NO God -or that there IS. For right now, the scientists are just trying to figure out what we DO know about, and the God question is "open."
Nice question -well written.

Evolution may not be a perfect theory, but it's certainly more plausible than every thing being magically willed into creation by a magic sky daddy.
As for that grandmother taking her taught out of biology class, only someone who is ignorant of science and insecure about their faith would do such a thing. If you securely believe that your religion is right, you should not be afraid of your child listening to a lecture on evolution.

Yes, I believe in evolution. I also believe in God. I find it amazing that some peoples minds are so closed that they cannot conceive that both beliefs can co-exist.
And I hate when people pull their child out of class then they're being taught a particular subject. I mean, thats what the children are ther for, to learn.
I mean, if I had children, I wouldn't pull them out of the religion class. I would however pull them out of the school if they taught Religion over Science, and didn't teach the theory of evolution.

I'm not religious, but I never understood why religious people see evolution as being contradictory to their concept of god. Evolution just shows the method behind the creations, it doesn't disprove god at all.
If, and that's a big "if", I did believe in god, I would liken it to the sculptor's tools and design methods being discovered. Such a thing definately doesn't show that there was no sculptor.

I believe in Creationism but I know that evolution exists regardless. Look at how human teeth changed from 100+ years ago just based on the diet then compared to the diet of processed foods we eat now. THAT CHANGE IS EVOLUTION. Evolution exists and is simply change over an amount of time. It is the means by which God unfolds His plan... through change over time.

I think its possible that both religion and science can be right because in the Bible it says that God created the world in seven days but it doesn't say haw long God's seven days are for all we know it was probably written in the Bible that way so humans could actually grasp the concept of creation.

Yes. We've only had 150 years to work on the theory of Evolution, while Christianity has 2,000 years. Give us another 1,850 years and Evolution will disprove Christianity.

Yes. Because if only Adam and Eve were here, and they had children, and one of the children went over into the Land of Nod and took a wife----where did that extra lady come from?

No, because evolution has yet to answer me the question of how existence came from non-existence. Plus there some of the claims that its made have yet to be verified as accurate
