I know that children with Asperger's have trouble grasping the concept of sarcasm. But what about as adults? Can an adult with Asperger's be spontaneously sarcastic?

Yes, and I am sometimes sarcastic. Just as everybody without Asperger's is unique in their own way people with Asperger's are that way too.

I dead-pan most things I say. That gives the illusion of cleverness and wit. But, I think I have a good idea what irony or sarcasm is when I say it. I use stock phrases and just memorize sarcastic remarks.

A lot of times, if someone else says something, I don't get it.

Yes: they are often highly intelligent, and can learn many skills. There are various degrees of autism. See Asperger's Syndrome, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 21.

I only suspect I'm Aspie, but sometimes I can detect sarcasm by tone of voice. And I am frequently sarcastic, possibly as a defensive mechanism.
