For me, a tiny Quaker granola bar does NOTHING for my hunger. Also, I don't buy or eat Quaker granola bars because they contian corn syrup, and/or high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, natural and artifical flavors and preservatives. To me, that is NOT healthy. I have found some wonderful, yummy granola bars that are bigger and more satisfying for a snack (not a meal) from the natrual/health food store chain, Trader Joe's in the US. They're all natural. bigger (which means more calories, but I don't care) and more filling. Also, the chocolate chip ones are very chocolatly.

However, it's your choice.

That's "lose" (loose is what you want your pants to be) and it's best to save such little treats for snacks, not as meal replacement. Your total calories for the day will be okay (assuming you are keeping them above 1200) but you really need a well-balanced diet to be healthy and maximize weight loss and muscle building/toning (assuming you are exercising as well).

Don't "diet" but make a lifestyle change...eat healthy all the time and exercise regularly. When you hit your goal weight, simply adjust your calories and/or activity level to maintain your weight instead of continuing to lose. That way you won't have to worry about putting the pounds back on, as you would likely do if you just went on a "diet", then went back to your old way of eating/activity.

Good luck!

It depends on what kind of diet you're on. ...calorie counting, just eating less, Adtkins, Weight Watchers...ect. In most cases, it would be fine, but you might still be hungry if you only eat that as a meal. That might cause you to overeat when you do actually eat a "meal." I lost 50 lbs by just eating a lot slower and taking smaller bites. I eat small amounts basically all day. It really works for me. Good luck to you.

You should try kashi granola bars. They are all natural and taste great with only 140 cal. They are packed with protein and fiber to keep you full. I wouldn't necessarily have them as a meal though unless it is breakfast then add a cup of milk and some fruit.

Don t have a cereal bar as a meal replacement. It s not enough. Have it as a snack.
