Yes, I would be offended. As a parent, it is my job to teach my child about something as personal as religion.

More of less I expected that to happen sometime in their life, whether it be in school, college, or just in the course of living. I taught my children what I believe and why. I also taught them to question what I believe and find answers for themselves. I taught them to use their mind and their heart. We studied my religion, and other religions and philosophies, both the good and the bad points. I would say that my children were prepared as thinkers and moralists.
...by the way a person could be offended if someone started teaching their child about their lack of belief in God also.

at the end of the day 99 percent of our kids attend council run schools in which they brush over many religions as part of the curriculum, that's just standard. If a child decides to become a christian,or follow another religion then that's their choice you can not force anyone to believe in anything it has to come from the heart of that person. I am a christian and Christianity is about love .

I wouldn't want anyone to teach my child anything about religion. The parent should be the only one to do that and i personnally think that religion shouldnt involve children so that they can make their own decisions when they are older. If my daughter asks about any religion then i tell her but let her decide on her own.

I would not be offended if they taught them it, but if they said that it was the truth, then yes I would. It is pure ignorance when you tell someone that your religion is the right one if you have no facts. When I have kids I will teach them of all religions and let their intelligence make a decision.

As long as it is always prefaced with "This is what we believe." I'm not sure how hold your child is, but I think the child should be old enough to realize this is only their belief, and not necessarily fact. If the child is not old enough to understand that part of it, these teachings should stop.

As long as it was done open and above board, no I wouldn't. However, I would insist that it be taught as an analysis of their religion, not as a dogma to be converted to. I think it is important to understand the belief system behind various religions simply to see most are just different ways of looking at the same God.

If I did not ask them to, yes, but if I knew about it, no. I teach my children about other religions while still saying, this is what I believe.

By teaching if you mean telling them this is the true way and trying to force the religion on my future son or daughter then yes. But if just explaining their beliefs and not trying to convert them, then it would be fine by me.

Very! I would tell them to stop, that I will teach my child about religions, and when they are old enough, they can choose for themselves.
