So many go to church, even proclaim they are studying to preach, but yet they cannot live it, and fall into lying, and cheating people in their business. Isn't that a greater sin, to proclaim to be a Chritian, and go to church, but yet cannot forgive, nor live their faith. I am talking about someone very close in our family, and has held a grudge for over 6 yrs, not allowing children to talk to their grandparents, but yet,goes to Catholic church every Sun.,also a worker, the same, cheated me, and lied to me, was studying to become a preacher. Are they just pretending to be Christians. I am a Christian, and simply cannot do these things as it just is not in me to do live as they are doing, are they just pretending to be 'Christians, or really think that they are?????..

Samsstown: How do you know that Christians hate gays? I am not God, and cannot judge people. I have known some gay men who were very nice. I just do not understand their sex life.

This is really a sad situation and a gross misrepresentation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Being a Christian or a believer in Jesus Christ is not just a matter of words but we need to see that we need to be born again and regenerated with the Life of God in our spirits. If we are simply doing things outwardly like going to church to convince others that we are christians then this is not the real deal.
A real christian is one who has been born of God. You are of Christ, a CHRIST-ian. This is a person who allows the Lord in them to affect who they are as people.
If you are one who does not give the Lord a way to affect who you are as a person.. in how you treat others... how you speak and what you do and think, then unfortunately you are simply living UNTO yourself and not unto the Lord.
A church goer is just that.. someone who goes to chruch. A genuine believer is one who meets with other genuine believers AS the Church.
May the Lord truly rescue all of us from living for ourselves and misrepresenting Him in all our environments.
May we come to Him daily to be washed and cleansed... To be purified in our conscience from all evil by the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May we all be strengthened by feeding in the word to go on daily in this christian life.
Finally may the Lord be glorified through us as His believers.

To be a good a christian means Having complete fellowship with christ and staying seperated from the world. As far sin? Everyone sins. But the christian isnt supposed to willfully want to sin. The people you speaking of are people who proclaim christ with their mouths but not by their actions. Read Matthew 7 and you'll see what happens to those people

You need to believe in a God that believes and needs blood offerings to make it all okay...the blood of christ!!
If you can get your head around that you are bright enough to be a christian.

A Christian is someone who follows Christ and attempts to live as he did. That doesn't mean we won't sin, but there's a difference between falling into sin and living in it.

a real christian doesnt care about wordly things they live off the bible, it doesnt mean that your a christian then you will go to heaven. and some christian denominations might be preaching the wrong message, i guess we will only find out who the real christians were when jesus comes.

It takes a relationship with Christ.
We still sin daily........because that's what people naturally do.
We are not perfect.........
But we have an advocate......the Lord Jesus Christ who has paid the price for sin for us.
And He is the only way to heaven (John 3:3)
