Yes dear . We are all sinners . Being a Christian does not make us perfect and that is one of the biggest obstacles in getting others to understand Christianity .
Non-believers point to a sinning Christian and say " Look over there , that guy that says he's a Christian just sinned. .. what a hypocrite". Those same people walk away with their new-found ignorance thinking that they 'Really showed us' . Which is nothing but Hogwash .
Everybody sins , but God's Word is God's Word .

YOu are so right on Bethybug. YEs, we are called to be humble, as Jesus was, and we are called to teach His truths to others, including to be HUMBLE. But the spirit is to guide. Many not only claim to be humble an dpreach it, they even brag about it. A truly humble person will be humble and speak it out, but wont feel a need to brag, as we know the only way to achieve being humble is to be like Jesus. It is from Him that all blessings come from.
Great question. I am anxious to see your answers.

I know what you mean, because sometimes I allow myself to be that person. I have always struggled with the issue of pride, and God has worked in me for years. I then would humble myself before man and God and then proud of myself for being humble, but I try to work on that too. God Bless.

Interesting question Beth! Yes. This is actually what Jesus confronted in his era among the so called religious leaders. The Pharisees projected such an image but Christ was not deceived by their piety and religiosity.
Humility comes to God. It comes from having a daily personal relationship with the Lord and rendering service to benefit humanity.
Jesus said "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5).

No I haven't.
But did you hear about last years Pastors Convention?
They as of every year, gave an award to the Preacher who was the most humble.
They received the envelope and with a thousand and more anxious Preachers in the convention,
It was announced for Preacher John Johnson to come up and receive the trophy.
And he did Proudly!

That is an oxymoron isn't it? How can one be proud of how humble they are? Impossible isn't it? I would think it would be. If someone was proud of how humble they are then they aren't to humble then are they?

I laughed so hard when I read your question!
Humility comes from outside of us........it is something done to us.........God ALWAYS gets the glory!
That arrogance of saying I am humble is right in the next moment........."look how humble I am"..........it's laughable!!
I am guilty as well............'cause it is part of being a human'
I am so glad that we can laugh at ourselves........because we know God has made a provision for us through Jesus Christ His Son!!!!! Thank you LORD!!
