hey, I'm a bank accountant and the laptop I have is for work that the company gives me. I have many important information and many online records and transactions. im going to get my computer fixed for its USB slots, and its monitor changed with also other security programs installed. I dont want the guy to look at my stuff, and I cant destory the hard drive as the bank wont allow a copy of the hard drive made.
I have the basic information stored on 2 16g flash disks and Is there anyway to delete the browsing history for the internet on my hard drive without deleting other programs? I also want free programs and Ccleaner doesnt work for me so please dont say ccleaner.... Uhhh remember FREE and to delete my browsing history because I can just delete the Notepad files and other programs as they are on my Flash disk, Please give me links to free programs to delete my browsing history Thanks

Talk to your employer's IT staff. They deal with these issues every day. If you have something you don't want them to see, as in:

"Is there anyway to delete the browsing history for the internet on my hard drive without deleting other programs?" tells me you do.

Open Internet Explorer and click on the Help Tab to learn how. BTW, cCleaner does a better job, if you learn how to use it!

You don't need any third-party program to delete your browsing history under Vista. If you're using Vista, you're using IE7. Just click on Tools, Delete Browsing History.

to delete the browsing history, just go to internet options under tools in your internet browser. there are buttons there that will clear history, cookies, and temp internet files. good luck!
